Hamthrax

So, there's this guy Rick I work with. Rick is a little, shall we say paranoid about the Swine Flu, H1N1, whatever you want to call it. And me, being my compassionate, understanding self, decided to poke a little fun at Rick...

Enlisting my contacts in the medical field (namely my mom), I obtained a few key items to turn Rick's normally neat and tidy cubicle into something out of The Hot Zone.

The culprit!

Rick was in shock when he got back from lunch

Not sure what do to, he immediately called the Centers for Disease Control, after taking the proper precautions.

Rick, how do you feel?

I'm pretty sure Rick and the little swine agreed to be friends

And after Rick realized he really wasn't infected with the the Hamthrax, he had a good laugh.

Work Rant

Argh...

Everyone wants everything done yesterday and can't understand why I didn't have it done before they asked... I swear some of these field reps have no clue about how things work. It takes time to research parts and prices, it takes time to build a quote, and don't get pissy with me when I tell you I need more info than "The client wants a server."

Lunch with Katie

My co-worker Katie and I went to Subway for lunch today. Driving back to work from Subway, I went a different route since I had to swing by the post office. At one intersection, I saw that where once there was large stand of trees is now a muddy field.

I remarked on this to Katie, and she said "No wonder I can't catch my breath on this road."

I guess I had that puzzled dog look on my face because she said next "All the trees are gone. Trees give us oxygen and we breathe oxygen. That's why I can't catch my breath."

I couldn't make this stuff up, folks...
